We distinguish ourselves by using a digital platform complemented with personalized coaching sessions, designed to facilitate effective learning tailored to the individual needs of our students. 1. Definitions
Coach: A certified and specialized instructor with teaching experience. MYEC Coaches are certified in Neurolinguistic Coaching, hold a Master's in Education or CELTA Certification, and have years of experience in language teaching.
Coachee: Any person who enrolls and participates in our learning programs, committing to follow the established curriculum and actively participate in class sessions.
MyEC Platform: Digital environment provided by MyEC Academy for course management, access to learning materials, and communication between Coaches and Coachee. It includes all digital resources such as eBooks, lessons, audios, etc.
Class Session: A scheduled meeting between the Coach and the Coachee(s) for language instruction, which can be conducted virtually through the MyEC Academy Platform or in person, depending on the specific program.
Makeup Session: An additional class session offered to a Coachee who has properly notified the need to reschedule a previously agreed session, subject to MyEC Academy's attendance and rescheduling policies.
Rescheduling:The action of changing the date or time of a previously scheduled Class Session, performed in accordance with the policies established by MyEC Academy, which requires advance notification.
Course or program: A structured set of Class Sessions designed to cover a specific level or set of learning objectives within the MyEC Academy curriculum.
Support Material: Educational resources provided to coachees as part of their enrollment in MyEC Academy, including, but not limited to, eBooks, video lessons, audios, and practical exercises.
2. Our Teaching Service
MyEC Academy provides a unique and personalized educational experience, combining the teaching of native and certified Coaches with advanced technology and inclusive support materials. We focus on learning adapted to the objectives and skill levels of each Coachee, ensuring flexibility and accessibility through our platform. Our programs are designed to maximize Coachees' progress and motivation, aligning our curriculum with international standards and providing ongoing monitoring and open communication to ensure educational excellence and measurable results
3. Use of the MyEC Academy Platform
To access and utilize the My English Coach (MyEC Academy) platform, it is crucial that both professionals and organizations understand and comply with our established requirements and conditions to ensure a safe and effective educational environment. By registering and using our services, users must adhere to the following guidelines:
Age and Legal Capacity: All users, including professionals and company representatives, must be at least 18 years old to create a legally binding contract with MYEC. This policy ensures that our services are used responsibly and that all participants have the legal capacity to commit to the terms and conditions of our service.
Participation of Minors: We recognize that in certain business or educational contexts, minors may require access to our language programs as part of their professional or educational development. In these cases, it is imperative to obtain explicit consent from their parents or legal guardians, who must accept responsibility for the minor's participation in our activities.
Disclaimer for Minors: MyEC Academy disclaims any liability related to damages or risks that may arise during the participation of minors, reiterating that the responsibility lies entirely with the parents or legal guardians. It is crucial that organizations enrolling minors in our programs take necessary measures to ensure their wellbeing.
Rigorous User Verification: Given the importance of maintaining a safe and professional environment, MyEC Academy reserves the right to request official identifications or conduct additional verifications to confirm the identity and background of users. This policy is especially relevant for professionals and companies, ensuring that only duly authorized and verified participants access our programs.
These guidelines are designed not only to protect the participants of our programs but also to preserve the integrity and professional value of the services we offer. By complying with these conditions, individuals and companies contribute to creating an enriching, safe, and appropriate learning environment for professional and personal development.
4. Class Scheduling
Time Commitment: Students who opt for a fixed schedule seek consistency and structure in their learning. At the start of their program, you and your Coach will agree on a specific schedule for your classes, which will remain constant throughout the program. This option is ideal for those who prefer to plan ahead and dedicate a fixed time each week to their language development. Committing to a fixed schedule helps establish a study routine, facilitating more disciplined and systematic learning.
Once the course is paid for, you must start your first session within the following two weeks, as during that time the coach's schedule with whom you were paired will be reserved. If you are unable to start within that time, we reserve the right to select the coach who is available for you at the time you wish to start.
For special cases, in which you cannot start your program within two weeks after payment, you must contact admin@myenglishcoach.cl, who will inform you of the latest date you could start your program. admin@myenglishcoach.cl quien le indicará la fecha máxima en la que podría iniciar su programa.
Communication and Coordination
Effective communication between the student and the Coach is essential for the success of both scheduling models. Students are expected to respond promptly to communications from their Coach to confirm or adjust their class schedules. Similarly, students are encouraged to communicate any changes in their availability as soon as possible to facilitate the necessary rescheduling and ensure that learning time is maximized to the fullest.
5. Attendance and Recovery Classes
General Policies for Cancellation and Class Change:
You are required to notify any cancellation or class change request to your Coach at least 12 hours in advance via the Coach's Whatsapp. This greater notice is necessary due to the structured nature of fixed schedules, allowing proper planning and adjustments in the Coach's agenda. If your coach is in a different time zone than yours, you must notify them 24 hours in advance via Whatsapp.
5.1 How does the live online lesson program and experience work?
Each week of the program is dedicated to 1 English lesson with set weekly grammar/vocabulary objectives. The student will have the opportunity to review materials on the platform to progress at their own pace and practice speaking and listening to this objective in the session. They will have AT LEAST 1 LIVE 60-minute session (or a maximum of 2 LIVE 60-minute sessions per week) with their coach to practice this English objective. If they do not attend the weekly live lesson, they must complete the challenges, review the prerecorded classes, do the assignments, and submit them to their coaches on the platform.
In the "Course Information" section, specifically in the "Course dates" part found on the class platform, the start and end date of the program will be published. The student will have 2, 3, or 5 months to complete their program (depending on the program purchased) and will be informed of the program's end date so they can finish it within the established time period. If a student misses a weekly lesson, they will have their last month of the program to make up for the missed lessons.
5.2 Makeup Classes:

La posibilidad de reprogramar una clase se ofrece como una cortesía para garantizar que los estudiantes puedan aprovechar al máximo su programa, pero debe hacerse dentro del marco de nuestras políticas establecidas.
5.3 Límite de Clases Reprogramadas: El estudiante puede recuperar hasta 4 lecciones al final de su programa, antes de la fecha de término del mismo. Esta política ayuda a mantener el compromiso con el programa y asegura una progresión constante en el aprendizaje. Es crucial que los estudiantes gestionen su tiempo y compromisos para minimizar la necesidad de reprogramaciones.
6. Course Freezing
You have the ability to suspend or modify one or more sessions of your course. To do this, you must contact the MyEC Academy team by sending an email to admin@myenglishcoach.cl with at least 1 business day in advance. Sessions that have been rescheduled are not subject to a new rescheduling. Sessions that have already been taken and not suspended will not be considered for recovery. admin@myenglishcoach.cl con al menos 1 día hábil. The deadline to take pending sessions will be adjusted to the validity period of your course. That is, you can freeze your course at any time within the established validity, but you must resume classes and consume all your sessions before the expiration date. Once this date has passed, the course will be considered concluded, and it will not be possible to use the remaining sessions. The duration of the courses is designed to maximize use and meet the established objectives.
7. Satisfaction Guarantee and Transfer of Hours
7.1 Satisfaction guarantee: We strive to ensure our customers' satisfaction with our courses. Therefore, if for any reason you are not completely satisfied with your course within the first week of purchase, we will be happy to refund the money corresponding to the remaining weeks of your course. Your satisfaction is our number one priority, and we want to ensure that you have a positive and enriching educational experience with us.
7.2 Purchased hours are personal and are not transferable. Under
special circumstances, such as prolonged illnesses or other significant life events
, we may consider extending the duration of your program or offering
limited transfers of hours, subject to prior approval. Lack of time or availability will not
be considered as a reason to transfer class hours to another student. The transfer of class hours must be approved by the administration of MyEC Academy and additionally by HR in the case of companies.
8. Expiration and Maximum Academic Duration
The course hours have an explicit expiration date in the "Course Information" section, specifically in the "Course dates" part found on the class platform; the start and end date of the program will be published, and we recommend a maximum academic duration to ensure the quality of learning.
These minimums help maintain a constant progression in your learning.
9. Technical Requirements and Internet
Coachees are responsible for ensuring a stable internet connection and the necessary equipment to participate in the classes. In case of technical difficulties, they must notify their Coach immediately.
10. Modification of these Terms and Conditions
MyEC Academy reserves the right to modify these terms at any time, notifying users through the platform or by email.
11. Registration and Account in MyEC Academy
To access the services of MyEC Academy, it is necessary to make the payment for at least one program and provide truthful and up-to-date information at the time of registration.
12. Evaluation and Level Classification
Coachees will be evaluated through the placement test on the platform and a speaking test with a native coach to determine their language proficiency level and assign them the appropriate Coach.
13. Payment Methods
At MyEC Academy, we understand the importance of offering versatile and secure payment options for our Coachees. Below, we detail the payment methods available for enrollment in our language teaching programs:
-Credit and Debit Cards:We accept credit and debit cards, ensuring secure transactions through encrypted platforms. This method allows immediate enrollment in our programs.
-Bank Transfers: For those Coachees who prefer to make payments directly from their bank accounts, we offer the option of bank transfer. The details for the transfer will be provided at the time of enrollment.
-Electronic Payment:We incorporate electronic payment platforms, such as PayPal and Stripe, facilitating fast and secure payments for international users..
-Installment Payments: Understanding the need for financial flexibility, MyEC Academy offers payment options through Mercado Pago and Webpay that allow payments in installments, so that Coachees can spread the cost of their education over time.
-Corporate Billing: For organizations looking to train their teams, we offer direct corporate billing, allowing seamless integration with business payment processes. In this case, they should contact us at admin@myenglishcoach.cl to request their course quote, and once the corresponding purchase order is issued by the company, MyEC Academy will issue the corporate invoice with the details indicated by the company in the purchase order.
For all payment methods, MyEC Academy provides immediate confirmations via email, ensuring Coachees their effective enrollment and access to course materials without delay. It is important to note that any change in the payment method or questions related to billing can be managed directly with our administrative team, guaranteeing personalized attention and timely responses to all financial inquiries.
We remind our Coachees to verify the validity and availability of the payment methods at the time of their enrollment, as these may vary by region and are subject to periodic updates to improve the user experience.
Coachees' Responsibilities
Payment Subject to Verification:
In the event that, for any reason, the payment instrument is rejected by the bank, enrollment in the courses will be subject to prior verification by our team. If the total or partial payment of the courses is not made, regardless of the payment method used, MyEC Academy reserves the right to suspend or cancel, at its discretion, the purchased courses, as well as their attendance.
14. Responsibility of Coaches
At MyEC Academy, the commitment and responsibility of our Coachees are fundamental to the success of their learning. Below, we detail the key responsibilities that each Coachee must keep in mind during their learning experience with us:
Commitment to Learning: Coachees must actively commit to their learning process, attending all scheduled sessions (AT LEAST 1 per week) and completing the assignments and activities assigned.
Punctuality: It is essential that Coachees be punctual for all sessions. A maximum delay of 15 minutes is tolerable; however, constant tardiness can negatively affect learning progress.
Effective Communication: Coachees must maintain effective and respectful communication with their Coaches and classmates. Any concern, difficulty, or need for adjustment in the learning plan must be communicated in a timely manner via WhatsApp to their coach.
Appropriate Use of the Platform and Materials:Coachees must make appropriate and ethical use of the MyEC Academy platform and all the learning materials provided, respecting copyright laws.
Respect for Rules and Policies:Coachees are expected to respect all the rules and policies established by MyEC Academy, including cancellation and rescheduling class policies, as well as any guidelines related to online and in-person conduct.
Financial Responsibility: Coachees must meet their financial obligations on time, including timely payment of course fees, according to the agreed payment method.
Follow-up on Recovery: After canceling a class, it is the student's responsibility to follow the process to reschedule the recovery class within the established deadline, ensuring that the recovery is completed within the maximum duration of the program (before the end date).
Constructive Feedback: We value constructive feedback from our Coachees to continuously improve our programs and services. Coachees are encouraged to share their learning experiences and suggestions for improvement with their Coaches and our administrative team.
Self-Assessment and Reflection:We encourage Coachees to engage in regular evaluations and reflect on their progress. Constructive self-criticism and setting personal goals are essential for advancement in language learning.
15. Reasons for Suspension or Termination of Programs at MyEC Academy
The MyEC Academy community must adhere to standards that promote a safe and respectful environment. The following infractions may lead to the immediate suspension or deletion of the account:
Prohibited Behaviors:
- Threats, harm, or intimidation towards others.
- Obstruction of other users' use of the platform.
- Impersonation or misrepresentation of relationships with people or entities.
- Concealment of the origin of shared information.
- Harassment or improper tracking of someone.
- Marketing of coachee information without authorization.
- Accumulation of personal data from users without permission.
Inappropriate Content:
- Promotion of products, services, or sites unrelated to the educational purposes of MyEC Academy. Publishing illegal, abusive, defamatory, discriminatory, obscene, or any kind of offensive content.
- Distribution of unsolicited advertising, spam, or any unauthorized request.
Discrimination:
- Any act of discrimination against members of the MyEC Academy community.
Violation of MyEC Academy Policies:
- Actions that interfere with the operations of MyEC Academy or contravene our privacy policies and terms of service.
Encouragement of Infractions:
- Incitement of other users to breach this agreement.
Violation of Regulations:
- Violations, whether intentional or accidental, of applicable laws or regulations.
Unauthorized Disclosure:
- Disclosure of private information of members without consent.
Fraudulent Transactions:
- Making payments to MyEC Academy with funds of dubious origin.
It is the responsibility of each MyEC Academy user to contribute to maintaining a positive and constructive learning environment. The infringement of these guidelines may result in corrective actions by MyEC Academy, including the possible termination of the account. Users are urged to act with respect and consideration towards others at all times.
16. Responsibility during MyEC Academy Sessions
Considering that MyEC Academy sessions are virtual and students can participate from any location, it is essential to recognize that any incident of loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings remains the sole responsibility of the owner of such goods. MyEC Academy assumes no responsibility for events that occur outside the environment directly controlled by the platform.
17. Privacy Policies
MyEC Academy is committed to protecting the privacy of its users' data.
By making a payment for one or more MyEC Academy coaching programs, you acknowledge having read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
